If you haven’t tried acupuncture before it may seem pretty scary but don’t be alarmed the needles are nearly as thin as a strand of hair! Originating in China; acupuncture was and still is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine!
In Traditional Chinese Medicine the acupuncture needles are inserted into different meridians of the body. When your body experiences pain it means your chi is off balance and by inserting the needles into specific areas in relation to your pain they will balance out the chi and release pain.
In conjunction with western influences, traditional acupuncture focuses on the nerve points that affect muscles and connective tissues, to release tight muscles and pain!
Kath Sweeney has been trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture and the western dry needling and will use whichever works best on the issues you bring to clinic!
